Rocco Giannetti, FAIA, NOMA

Regional Managing Principal

Rocco is a Co-Managing Principal for Gensler’s Northeast region. With nearly 30 years of experience at the firm, Rocco has been recognized as the premier expert in creating workplaces for the financial services industry and acts as a trusted advisor to some of the largest global banks, such as Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase. He has also spearheaded innovative workplace environments for media clients including Condé Nast, The New York Times, and Warner Media.

Rocco’s previous experience includes serving on Gensler’s Board of Directors, as well as acting as Co-Managing Director of the New York office. An inaugural member of Gensler’s Anti-Racism and Diversity Committee, he remains an advisor, providing insight and input to support initiatives to increase diversity within the firm.

Dedicated to community service and youth development, Rocco is part of the BSA Exploring Advisory Committee and is a past honoree of the St. Francis Food Pantries’ Community Star Award. He was named to Crain’s New York Business’ Notable LGBTQ Leaders and Executives List in 2021. A member of NOMA, the USGBC, and the Building Energy Exchange Advisory Council, Rocco is also a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects. An active member of the AIA New York Chapter, he currently serves on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors as the Vice President of Public Outreach. Rocco earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and his Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
