The client’s new Control Center in San Ramon represents an efficient and streamlined prototype for information sharing, and provides a frontline for public safety and emergency preparedness. The Control Center is designed with acute awareness of employee health and well-being and can be seen throughout the floor in the intuitive nature of the design, access to natural lighting and quality of materials. By consolidating their Distribution, Transmission and Dispatch departments into a single location, employees are able to engage, connect and interact directly. The unification of the three departments is envisioned and symbolized by various triangular shapes throughout the office, while simultaneously allowing for adaptability, interaction and collaboration through its robust and flexible shape.
