Ossur Americas

Foothill Ranch, California

Ossur is a pioneer in technology-based mobility designed to improve the quality of life for mobility-challenged people. The global prosthetics company wanted its new U.S. headquarters in Foothill Ranch to showcase its mission, values, and community outreach. Gensler communicated this by showcasing the previously tucked-away community space at the forefront of the office. All-staff meetings, charity events, and Ossur’s life-changing technology and products are all clearly on display, encouraging the community and clients to connect. Taking inspiration from Ossur’s global headquarters in Reykjavik, Iceland, Gensler worked with the medical technology company’s European colleagues to create a workspace that has a simple, yet refined appeal that is rooted in Icelandic origins. The new headquarters design, which also incorporates product-based inspirational stories, creates a space that the community and employees can feel proud of.
