In relocating after 20 years in one location, Milbank wanted to preserve the unique culture that makes it a leader among Southeast Asia law firms. The Gensler Singapore design team worked closely with Millbank leaders to understand the openness and collegiality that define the firm’s culture, then translated those themes into the new legal office space — providing privacy, security, technology, and comfort while doubling the square footage. Anchored by multipurpose collaborative areas, including both library/case and caucus/lounge spaces, the workplace design plan emphasizes connectivity, clear sightlines, and spatial efficiency, supporting the real work done in the office. The sophisticated material palette is a foil for the company’s contemporary art collection.
