Loffler Companies
St. Louis Park, Minnesota
The Loffler Headquarters successfully transformed a purpose-built static retail machine into a vibrant and flexible workplace home. Occupying a former Sam’s Club, the space challenged the design team to break down the scale through the demolition and clever distribution of workplace amenities to create a cohesive visual feel more akin to an internal campus. A work cafe, bar, workout rooms, stadium, golf simulator, covered veranda, large interior mezzanine, and physically connected outdoor spaces create a more human-scaled, urban environment.
New south-facing glazing brings daylight deep into the building and interior non-structural walls that are parallel with the exterior are also glazed. Captured energy within the existing structure translates it to a reduced carbon footprint and a sustainability story that speaks to Loffler’s commitment to its community and our collective resources.
