Kaleideum (Formerly Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks)

Forsyth County is renovating a five-story, 70,000-square-foot building in downtown Winston-Salem that will be home to Kaleideum, an innovative children’s museum. Conceptualized as a “living building,” the museum will provide opportunities for visitors to see the world from different perspectives. The museum will incorporate interactive elements at the colorful, eye-catching building envelope while harnessing the natural environment as an opportunity to educate visitors about the interconnection of humanity. The design embraces the museum’s mission to “inspire wonder, curiosity and lifelong learning in our children and community through interactive play and discovery.”
