Seeking to attract and retain a vibrant workforce, IBM consolidated three office locations into a highly collaborative, agile workspace designed by Gensler. Located in a landmark building in Toronto’s south core, this new office creates an immersive visitor experience with an AI and hybrid cloud client showcase centre and provides a space to support clients through end-to-end digital transformation. IBM’s workplace design enhances user experience through art, biophilia, and technology, while providing a universal design that offers the flexibility to expand or contract as the business evolves.

Workstation clusters, booths, high-top tables, and a library space all work collectively to offer employees flexibility and choice in where they work. Collaborating with IBM’s internal brand team, the space showcases key pieces of its art collection, graphic wallcoverings representing the brand, and a commissioned mural by local artist.
