How do we address the effect of Hong Kong’s density on the region’s senior adults?
Research Project Name
Hong Kong's Next Generation of Senior Living
What We Did
We explored the adverse effects of Hong Kong’s ultra-density on the city’s senior adults. We conducted site visits, analyzing how different housing profiles meet the needs of this group of people. We then interviewed key stakeholders including senior adults, caregivers, subject matter experts, and community organization representatives. After profiling Hong Kong senior-living communities, we created a design toolkit that enhances mobility and accessibility, while addressing local socioeconomic issues.
