Important: How we use your Data

‘Gensler’ refers to the global company which includes various legal entities around the world. You are applying for employment with Gensler via our Applicant Tracking System (“ATS”) which is operated on behalf of Gensler by Workday, 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road, Pleasanton, California 94588 (“Workday”) using Workday’s servers located around the world. We have a contract in place with Workday which means that your personal information will be held securely and will only be processed in accordance with our instructions. They will not share your personal information with any organization apart from us.

The information that you provide us in the course of your application will be used by Gensler to evaluate your suitability for employment. As part of this process, your personal information will be accessed by Gensler recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewing teams as well as HR and technical support employees who administer our ATS. They will use this information to process your application, including arranging and conducting interviews, assessing the outcomes of interviews and as otherwise needed during the recruitment process. We may also use your personal information for reporting, surveying and analytical purposes to assist us in improving our recruiting processes, or to respond to legal requirements.

If you are successful in your application for employment, personal information provided during this application process may form the basis of your HR record. We may also carry out pre-employment reference checks such as address verification, confirmation of academic qualifications, and requesting employer or other references.

You agree that your personal information may be shared across Gensler offices. You acknowledge and approve that as a result, your personal information may be transferred to countries where legislation does not provide the equivalent level of data protection as that offered by the country where the role to which you originally applied is based.

You may view and modify your personal information at any time by accessing your account via the Gensler careers website (www.gensler.com/careers). In some circumstances, you will be able to request a copy of your personal information that we hold in our ATS, and then to correct or delete your information. We do not collect more information than we need to fulfil our stated purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary.
