This new world-class headquarters consolidates 3,000 employees from five locations into a single, flexible and highly effective workplace. Gensler collaborated closely with the base building architect, linking the 100-foot rotunda to the main tower and to the podium and garden to create a living space for company and community events. Employee amenities include a freestanding auditorium, fitness and wellness center, and three distinctly different restaurants, which, like many amenity spaces, are open to the public. According to Devon’s chairman, morale has skyrocketed as a result of the new space, and the company’s recruiting success rate has risen to 92 percent from 62 percent.
