Diane Hoskins, FAIA, NCARB
Gensler Co‑CEO

Diane Hoskins has been co-CEO of Gensler, the world’s top architecture and design firm, since 2005. Committed to the belief that design can build resilient communities and improve lives around the world, she and her partner, Co-CEO Andy Cohen, established the Gensler Research Institute—a part of the firm—to study design’s ability to enrich the human experience. In 2022, she was honored with the World Trade Center Institute’s Global Visionary Award. She and Cohen were named to Business Insider’s annual list of “100 People Transforming Business” (2021) and its inaugural “Creators” list (2016)—a who’s who of the world’s top creative visionaries.

A design leader with a global perspective, Hoskins serves as the 2023-2025 Global Chair of the Urban Land Institute. She was a featured speaker at the United Nation’s Habitat Assembly in Nairobi (2023) and Climate Action Summit in New York (2019). She has also spoken at the United Nations Climate Change Conference for three consecutive years—COP26 Glasgow, COP27 Sharm El-Sheikh, and COP28 Dubai. Her thought leadership and insights have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Harvard Business Review, CNN, Forbes, Fast Company, NPR, and elsewhere. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Hoskins graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Andy Cohen has been co-CEO of Gensler, the world’s top architecture and design firm, since 2005. He has spent his entire 43-year career at Gensler. An advocate for resilience, sustainability, and climate action, Cohen is a champion of the power of design to enhance and enrich the human experience. He and his partner, Co-CEO Diane Hoskins, were named to Business Insider’s annual list of “100 People Transforming Business” (2021) and its inaugural “Creators” list (2016)—a who’s who of the world’s top creative visionaries. He has appeared on the Los Angeles Times annual “LA500” list for 8 consecutive years.

Cohen regularly lends his decades of expertise to a diverse roster of organizations, including the Urban Land Institute’s Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council, the Policy Advisory Board of the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs Board of Advisors, and the USC School of Architecture Board of Councilors. He is a frequent speaker for premier industry groups, including Urban Land Institute, the Young Presidents Organization, the Milken Institute Global Conference, the Pension Real Estate Association, and more. His thought leadership and insights have appeared in Bloomberg, Fortune, Forbes, Fast Company, Quartz, Curbed, and many other general and trade publications. Cohen is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a graduate of the Pratt Institute.
