Crain Communications sought Gensler’s expertise in relocating and consolidating its New York office with a greater goal of creating an innovative workplace reflective of the brand’s expansion into the digital world. Gensler did a thorough analysis of Crain's current and future needs, as well as detailed programming and efficient planning to reduce the workplace footprint by 43 percent. The new two-story office provides a range of spaces to balance the company’s four primary work modes – focus, collaboration, socializing and learning – and respond to the full range of employees’ daily needs. Cutting-edge technology integrates with the new workspace’s lofty open ceilings and open-plan environment reminiscent of a traditional newsroom.
