County of Sonoma Comprehensive County Facilities Plan

With roughly two-million-square-feet of real estate fragmented over 72 locations, the County of Sonoma sought to shift from a mode of reactive decision-making to one of strategic planning. In response to this goal, Gensler developed a two-part plan: first, a Service Delivery Vision to establish guiding principles, goals and strategies; and second, a Real Estate Vision and Financial Plan, which synthesize the findings of the Service Delivery Vision into a series of real estate scenarios. These scenarios provided the county with a long-term plan for addressing its centralized campus, decentralized locations and potential surplus properties.
