CBRE Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan

In relocating four Tokyo locations into a single headquarters in Marunouchi, real estate giant CBRE sought to drastically change its corporate culture and work styles to more closely align with the firm’s image as a the premium real estate agency in Japan. The new office encourages sharing, collaboration and proactive work styles, with free-address seating, clear delineations of activity-based work areas and an aggressive goal of 90 percent reduction in paper storage. The design is urban and contemporary, with bright white backdrops accented by natural materials and pops of color. Three walls painted by local artists create a vibrancy consistent with the sleek urban feel.
