The new regional headquarters for Apache Canada is the culmination of a complex consolidation, relocation, and re-branding effort, primarily aimed at attracting the industry’s best professionals. By planning the floors with an open, sleek feel; fronting offices in full glass; and expanding open-plan workspace by 35 percent; daylight and views increased dramatically, as did opportunities for connection and collaboration among employees. To minimize disruption during a complicated move-in process, and keep everyone in the loop, the comprehensive change management program incorporated a customized website, electronic move/welcome documents, change leader guidelines and instructional videos. The new headquarters has increased employee satisfaction and collaboration and improved the company recruitment efforts.
