Gensler was enlisted to help re-envision the campus of Antioch University as a vibrant and exciting urban institution of higher learning. Through strategic thinking and a balanced approach to design performance, the team aligned client goals with performance goals to achieve a successful project that exceeded expectations. The new location provides the commuter-based adult-student population easy access to public transit, services and city amenities. Inside, the majority of desks are equipped with a sit/stand feature to promote better health. All-gender facilities and universal design in conference rooms and classrooms allow individuals with disabilities to participate without barriers. Academic program villages promote exchange among faculty members and administrators and create opportunities for synergy and innovation.
